Manuscript Submissions

Open the Gate to Your Story.

Send us enough to understand the book, recognise its voice and decide whether we would like to read further.

Start Here

A serious submission does not need theatrical promises.

It needs clear information, strong pages and an honest explanation of the book you have written.

Your initial submission helps us understand the manuscript, its genre, intended readership, current stage and the kind of publishing relationship you are seeking.

Please do not send your entire manuscript unless we request it. Begin with the materials listed below and allow us to evaluate whether the project may suit the Iron Gate catalogue.

What to Send

Four documents that help us understand the project.

Clear presentation matters. Label every file with the book title and the author’s name.

01

Book Introduction

A concise description of the book, its central premise and what makes it different or memorable.

02

Synopsis

A clear summary of the principal story, including the major developments and ending.

03

Sample Chapters

Send the opening three chapters or approximately 8,000–10,000 words in one readable document.

04

Author Biography

A brief introduction covering your writing background, relevant experience and previous publications, if any.

Inside Your Email

Tell us what the book is—and what you expect from it.

Your message should be brief but complete. Avoid vague claims such as “this will become a bestseller.” Give us useful facts.

Your full name, email address and mobile number

02

Book title, genre and approximate word count

03

Whether the manuscript is complete, revised or in progress

04

05

One clear sentence describing the book’s unique strength

06

What you are hoping to achieve through publication

What Happens Next

Submission begins an evaluation—not a publishing commitment.

01

Initial Screening

We review the submitted material for writing quality, concept, readability, genre and catalogue suitability.

02

Further Reading

When a project interests us, we may request the complete manuscript, additional chapters or specific revisions.

03

Detailed Questionnaire

Selected authors may be invited to complete a detailed form covering the book, readership, goals and availability.

04

Publishing Discussion

A publishing relationship exists only after the parties discuss the project and enter into a written agreement.

Before You Send

Please submit only work you have the legal right to share.

Submission does not constitute acceptance, create a publishing relationship or guarantee publication.

Copyright remains with the author unless rights are granted under a signed written agreement.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted writing, artwork, quotations and other material do not unlawfully infringe third-party rights.

Response times may vary according to submission volume, editorial workload and the complexity of the project.

Do not send original physical documents, identity records, banking information or other unnecessary sensitive material.

No representative can guarantee selection, publication, sales, awards, reviews or bestseller status.
