Waheed Shamsher writes dark, emotionally charged fiction shaped by ambition, desire, betrayal, violence, and the consequences of power. Drawing inspiration from classical tragedy while grounding his stories in contemporary and historical Indian settings, his novels explore flawed people pushed toward irreversible choices. His work combines psychological intensity, political intrigue, adult relationships, and crime with a strong tragic sensibility.
Across his Shakespeare-inspired novels, Shamsher reimagines timeless conflicts for a modern readership while preserving the emotional force that made the originals endure.
He lives in India with his family.
