Dr. Ankita Khataniar

Ankita Khataniar is a writer, researcher, and editor from Assam, India. With a background in biotechnology and years spent in academic research, she has always been equally fascinated by the worlds that exist beyond laboratories and textbooks, especially the strange, the atmospheric and the quietly unsettling.

An avid reader of mysteries, horror and speculative fiction, Ankita is drawn to stories shaped by place, memory and the peculiarities of ordinary life. Her writing often carries traces of the landscapes she knows best, from rain-soaked towns and old houses to the lush, shadowy corners of Northeast India.

When she is not writing or working on research, she can usually be found reading, annotating books, dreaming up fictional murders, or convincing herself that buying another book is entirely reasonable.
