Arindam Seal

Arindam Seal is the name under which an Indian writer and independent publisher explores crime, power and the secrets people construct around themselves.

With a background in engineering and a longstanding interest in thrillers, political intrigue and investigative fiction, his writing is drawn to the machinery behind a crime as much as the crime itself: the evidence that refuses to fit, institutions under pressure, private loyalties, compromised families and the human choices hidden beneath procedure.

His fiction combines procedural detail with character-driven storytelling, placing flawed men and women inside investigations where personal lives rarely remain safely outside the case.

The Girl in the Trunk introduces ACP Sanyukta Singh, a Mumbai police officer whose cases unfold alongside the complicated relationships, responsibilities and contradictions of her life beyond the badge.
