Rights in the website and publishing materials.
Except where stated otherwise, the website’s original written content, branding, logos, trade dress, page designs, graphics, promotional copy, edited material, photographs, illustrations and other original elements belong to Iron Gate Publishing, its operator, licensors or identified rights-holders.
The names Iron Gate Publishing, its gate device, associated logos and imprint identities may not be used in a manner that suggests affiliation, approval, sponsorship or endorsement without written permission.
No website access grants a licence to reproduce, publish, adapt, translate, distribute, sell, sublicense, broadcast or commercially exploit protected material.

Public-Domain Works
Our rights do not extend beyond what the law protects.
Iron Gate Publishing may publish editions or adaptations based upon works whose underlying source text has entered the public domain in the relevant territory.
We do not claim exclusive ownership over an underlying public-domain work merely because we publish an edition of it.
Copyright or other rights may nevertheless exist in original adaptations, dramatised passages, introductions, annotations, translations, illustrations, cover artwork, typography, editorial additions, formatting and edition-specific design.
The public-domain status of a work may differ between jurisdictions. Users are responsible for confirming the law applicable to their intended use.
Book Information
Titles, covers, prices and release details may change.
We try to present accurate information about our books and publishing programme. However, website information may be preliminary, incomplete, delayed or subject to revision.
The following may change without prior notice:
- Book titles, subtitles and series names.
- Cover artwork and promotional images.
- Blurbs, descriptions and contributor information.
- Page counts, dimensions, formats and ISBN information.
- Retail prices, promotional prices and discounts.
- Publication, pre-order and availability dates.
- Territorial availability and distribution channels.
A displayed or proposed publication date does not create an obligation to release a book on that date. Production, editorial, printing, distribution, technical, contractual or commercial requirements may result in postponement, alteration or cancellation.
Website images are illustrative. Printed colour, dimensions, finishes and physical appearance may vary from on-screen images.
Third-Party Services and Links
External websites operate independently.
This website may link to Amazon, booksellers, payment providers, distributors, social-media platforms, delivery providers or other third-party websites and services.
A link is provided for convenience and does not automatically amount to an endorsement of every statement, product, policy or activity appearing on the external service.
When you leave this website, the external provider’s terms, privacy policy, prices, delivery rules, refund policy and customer-service procedures apply.
Iron Gate Publishing does not control third-party platforms and is not responsible for their availability, security, content, account decisions, payment processing or fulfilment.
Questions concerning an order placed directly with an external retailer should ordinarily be directed to that retailer first.
Manuscript Submissions
Submission does not mean acceptance or publication.
Manuscripts and related materials must be submitted through the official procedure stated on our Submit Your Manuscript page.
Submission does not create a publishing relationship, confidentiality obligation, agency relationship, commercial commitment or guarantee of publication.
Evaluation, selection, editing, production, format, pricing, scheduling, distribution, marketing and release decisions remain subject to editorial judgement, commercial practicality and any signed publishing agreement.
Requested, suggested or provisional publication dates are not guaranteed and may change.
All submissions are additionally governed by the complete Submission Guidelines & Terms .
Adaptation & Screen Services
Paid development services are governed by an agreed project scope.
Information displayed on the Adaptation & Screen Services page describes the types of professional development work that may be offered. It is an invitation to enquire and does not by itself create a binding engagement, fixed quotation, delivery commitment or obligation to accept a project.
A project is accepted only after Iron Gate Publishing has reviewed the material and the parties have agreed in writing upon the commissioned service, deliverables, professional fee, payment schedule, estimated delivery period, included revisions, confidentiality arrangements and applicable intellectual-property terms.
The client represents that the client owns or controls the manuscript, book, screenplay, concept and other underlying material submitted for development, or has obtained all authority necessary to commission the requested work. The client must disclose relevant co-authors, publishers, producers, licences, options, assignments, encumbrances or competing rights.
Work ordinarily begins only after receipt of the required materials, written approval and any advance or milestone payment stated in the quotation or project agreement. Taxes, third-party costs and additional services apply only as stated in writing.
Delivery periods are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise. Client delay, incomplete material, substantial changes in scope, additional research, third-party dependency, technical difficulty or circumstances beyond reasonable control may require a revised schedule.
Revisions are limited to the number and type included in the agreed scope. A new direction, substantial rewrite, changed format, added deliverable or work requested after approval may require a revised fee and schedule.
Where a client cancels a project, fees attributable to work already completed, time already reserved and non-recoverable expenses may remain payable or non-refundable. Any balance relating to genuinely unperformed work will be handled according to the project agreement and applicable law.
Unless a written agreement states otherwise, the client retains ownership of the client’s underlying material. Ownership, licence, permitted use and transfer of commissioned treatments, pitch materials, series bibles, screenplays or other deliverables arise only as stated in the written agreement and may be conditional upon full payment. Iron Gate Publishing retains its pre-existing templates, methods, know-how and materials.
Payment for development does not automatically include representation, agency, industry introductions, pitching, submission to producers or platforms, publication by Iron Gate Publishing, optioning, financing, casting, commissioning, production, distribution or acquisition. Any such activity must be expressly included in writing.
Decisions made by producers, studios, broadcasters, financiers, distributors and streaming platforms remain outside Iron Gate Publishing’s control. Screen-development services strengthen and prepare material; they do not promise a particular commercial or industry result.
Screen-development enquiries should be sent to screen@irongatepublishing.com . Manuscripts submitted solely for publishing consideration must continue to follow the official manuscript-submission procedure.
Communications
Email, telephone and WhatsApp enquiries.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and for checking messages sent to the address or number you provide.
Email and messaging services may experience filtering, delivery failure, delay, interception, file corruption or technical interruption. A sent message is not proof that it has been received, read or accepted.
Manuscripts are not accepted through telephone calls or WhatsApp. Manuscript files must be sent to the official submissions address in accordance with the published guidelines.
Adaptation and screen-development enquiries should be sent to screen@irongatepublishing.com . Sending material to that address does not create a project engagement until a written scope and quotation are accepted.
No informal conversation, social-media message, telephone call or unsigned email creates a binding publishing commitment. Publishing obligations must be recorded in an authorised written agreement.
We may decline to respond to abusive, deceptive, repetitive, threatening, irrelevant or unsolicited commercial communication.

The revised version becomes effective when displayed on this page with an updated effective date, unless otherwise stated.
Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
When any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.
