Why Iron Gate Was Built
Founded by an author who wanted publishing to mean more than simply printing a manuscript.
Iron Gate Publishing was founded by author Suvash Dev out of a conviction that a manuscript deserves more than mechanical production, generic presentation or promises that ignore the realities of the book market.
Having approached publishing from the writer’s side, he understood the distance between finishing a manuscript and building a book that can genuinely compete for a reader’s attention. Writing matters, but so do editorial judgement, positioning, design, production and a clear understanding of who the book is meant to reach.
Iron Gate was created to bring those elements together from the beginning. The aim is not to publish every manuscript that arrives, nor to force every selected book into the same mould. It is to choose carefully, develop honestly and give each project a strong, recognisable identity.

I built Iron Gate because I wanted the kind of publishing house I would trust with my own work—one that respects the writer, challenges the manuscript and never forgets that the finished book must still earn the reader.
